Help Save the American Community Survey
On May 10, the House of Representatives approved the Fiscal Year 2013 Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) appropriations bill (H.R. 5326) with amendments that defund the American Community Survey and Economic Census. We need your help to ensure that the Senate rejects these harmful cuts.
 
Please add your stories about how you or your library patrons use the ACS and Economic Census and why these resources must be saved.

Take Action to Support GPO and Library of Congress Funding
The House and Senate Appropriations Committees are currently considering Fiscal Year 2013 funding levels for the Government Printing Office (GPO) and Library of Congress/Law Library of Congress. If your Representative or Senator sits on either committee, he or she urgently needs to hear from you. If he or she is a member of the House or Senate Legislative Branch Subcommittee, it is especially important that you act now. 
 
Please use our template to write to your members of Congress to ask them to support the FY 2013 funding requests of GPO and the Library of Congress.
 
Please personalize your letters with stories and examples of why adequate funding levels for these agencies is important to you.
