We Need Your Help!

Currently, U.S. Senators Wyden (D-OR) and Crapo (R-ID) are circulating a letter to their colleagues asking Senators to join them on a letter to CMS urging the agency to use the hospital market basket to update the 2011 ASC rates.  This comes at a critical moment. CMS recently proposed to update ASC Payments for 2011 by 1.6%; this combined with the application of a 1.6% productivity adjustment gives us a net update of zero for next year. We must change the method CMS uses to determine ASC payment updates or ASCs will continue to see little to no updates in the years to come.

If you have a personal relationship with a U.S. Senator or a staff member, this is very valuable. Please consider reaching out directly with this request. If you do so, please let us know you've made a personal contact.
