INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for taking action to write to your members of Congress asking them to support S ESOP legislation. Please fill out the required information below to email your Members of Congress asking them to support employee ownership by cosponsoring the Promotion and Expansion of Private Employee Ownership Act when it is introduced this Congress. This legislation will help promote and grow the number of employee-owned companies in America and will:

Incentivize owners of S corporations to sell their stock to an ESOP;
Provide needed technical assistance for companies that may be interested in forming an S ESOP;
Ensure small businesses that become ESOPs retain their SBA certification;
Affirm the importance of preserving the S ESOP structure in the Internal Revenue Code; and
Create an advocate for employee ownership at the U.S. Department of Labor.

The system will prompt you with letters to email your Senators and Representatives that represent the state and district that you live in. There is also a text box which allows you to personalize the letter, explaining in your own words what your ESOP means to you, your family, and your ability to save for retirement.
