Oppose House Legislation that would Take Back Peace Corps COVID-19 Funds

Congressman Jeff Duncan (R-SC) has introduced H.R. 6657, legislation to take back $27 billion in pandemic stimulus funding approved last March, including the entire $88 million provided for Peace Corps to evacuate and provide initial readjustment support for 7,300 volunteers. These necessary funds covered unexpected costs and ensured the health and safety of volunteers in 60 countries in the midst of a global pandemic.

Write to your representatives and urge them to oppose this legislation. For Representative Duncan and the ten original co-sponsors, ask them to remove Peace Corps funding cuts from the legislation.
