Senate: Pass the George Floyd Act!

The recent conviction of Derek Chauvin is just a continuation of our overdue national reckoning with police violence and racial justice. In Congress, there is renewed momentum to pass the “George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2021”.  The House has already passed this legislation. Now, you can urge your Senators to take similar action.

For sixty years, Peace Corps Volunteers have served in 142 countries, engaging with citizens in the spirit of peace and progressive development. But peace and progress cannot be fully attained without justice here and abroad. Our work on these critical matters overseas loses its potential if we don’t address similar issues here at home.

This letter writing action allows you to edit your message. Please feel free to share your personal experiences and put in your own words why it is essential that we pass the George Floyd Act now!

Please note that available prefix options for letters to members of Congress are determined and required by legislative offices, not NPCA.
