Congress: Support House Peace Corps Funding Recommendation

As Congress works on Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations, they will need to reconcile a disagreement on the amount of Peace Corps funding.

The Senate Appropriations Committee is recommending continued flat funding for the Peace Corps ($410.5 million). The House of Representatives is proposing a five percent, $20 million funding increase. This $430.5 million appropriation would be the first meaningful increase in funding for the agency in six years.

The House is also recommending stronger funding than the Senate for our nation's international affairs programs.

Please contact your members of Congress to urge them to support the House funding recommendations for the Peace Corps, and for our international affairs programs.
